Native Bee Box
Native Bee Box
Native bee boxes house bees without stingers and are brought from areas of the city where hives are disrupted by construction or tree removal. Bees pollinate the garden and increase the harvest while producing honey which can be used or sold.
Ministry Partner: Semear
Location: São Paulo, Brazil
Semear is an urban ministry utilizing agroecology and income-generating projects to proclaim the gospel among the poor and socially vulnerable, including the homeless, refugees, and children. Semear fosters responsible care for the earth, people, and the sharing of crop surpluses through local vegetable garden clubs, agroecological training, food security, and revenue-producing work in low-income areas.
The ministry assists communities and churches by teaching sustainability and citizenship. Each project matches the local context and availability of time and financial resources. Semear strives to share best practices, establish local networks, and build autonomy.
Evangelical outreach, discipleship, and Bible studies are integrated into all programs, allowing workers to meet the physical and eternal needs of communities.
