Through their ministry, Ashirvad Kanti brings light into India’s darkest places. Ashirvad Children’s Home hosts children coming from neglect/abuse situations or with families affected by HIV as full- time residents. Ashirvad Kanti also provides job training to destitute women by teaching them skills such as tailoring, cosmetology, and bookbinding.
Ashirvad Kanti continues to care for those living in the slum communities of Nagpur. The coronavirus pandemic has opened up opportunities to serve the poor in new ways. Many families were starving due to lack of work, but Ashirvad Kanti has distributed food and other essentials. With the closure of schools, virtual learning plans did not make arrangements for impoverished children. Ashirvad Kanti has developed and implemented a learning program for children within the slums. Through this, they are not only providing Christian education but also eliminating negative influences often present in the school.
