KNOC is committed to regular communication with and discipleship of each student in its care. Your gift will provide transportation costs for the board's annual home and school visits with each student and allow opportunities to share the gospel with school officials.

Ministry Partner: Kenya Needy Orphans and Children

Location: Kisumu, Kenya

Kenya Needy Orphans and Children (KNOC) promotes high school education and post-graduation planning for orphans and impoverished children in Kisumu, Kenya. KNOC meets the educational needs of local lay pastors’ families who shepherd churches without pay. This ministry cares for impoverished children and orphans from local church congregations and connects them with local churches for discipleship and support.

KNOC is more than educational assistance; it is a ministry focused on evangelism and discipleship through mentoring and education. Praise the Lord for His saving grace in the life of one young girl through KNOC. As the daughter of an alcoholic, she struggled with many challenges and dropped out of school when she became pregnant as a teenager. Sadly, her child was born sick and died at four days old. She could not afford to continue her education, but was encouraged by her pastor to go back to school and was connected with KNOC, where she was shown the love of God and was able to begin school again. The church ministered to the girl, and she recently became a Christian. The Lord saved the girl's uncle as well, who is now attending KReST (a reformed Kenyan seminary affiliated with Oakseed) and has begun to serve in their church. Please continue to pray for her spiritual growth and for her family to come to faith.
