Ministry Partner: Calvary Mission Center & Purple Woods
Location: Nagpur, India
Around 35 percent of Nagpur's population lives in slums. Calvary Mission Center (CMC) focuses on projects to bring the gospel to these impoverished areas.
Whether providing medical exams to orphans, funding a school for needy children, transporting kids to school in three-wheeled vehicles called rickshaws, or caring for youth with special needs, CMC strives to meet real needs in their community while sharing the gospel and connecting those in the slums with a local church.
Purple Woods is CMC's ministry to disabled children. This vital ministry provides need-based activities to help these children thrive and understand their worth in Christ.
The affiliated church holds services in two slum locations, and all programs share the gospel to draw people into the church for fellowship, discipleship, and support. Through CMC's vision for new prayer groups, women's care groups, Bible classes, and youth summer camps, the gospel reaches more who need to hear the good news.
