Vision for the Visually Challenged - India

India, the world's second-largest population, is also home to the largest number of blind people globally. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 63 million people in India are visually impaired, and 8 million are completely blind. Tragically, only 5% of blind children under the age of 16 receive any education.

It is in this context that Vision for the Visually Challenged (VVC) stands as a beacon of hope, dedicated to sharing the gospel and providing comprehensive care for visually challenged individuals and their families in Mumbai. Founded in 2006 by a team of like-minded elders from different churches, VVC was officially registered as a trust in 2021.

VVC's primary focus is on five key areas: Gospel Outreach, Discipleship and Church Integration, Education and Vocational Training, Braille Bible Distribution, and Family Care. Through these initiatives, they are making a profound impact on the lives of the visually challenged.
