Ballet shoes and costumes

Your gift will provide an impoverished child with ballet shoes and dance costumes that they can't afford. Children will learn to dance alongside learning the truth of the gospel.

Israel Shalom ministers to at-risk children and adolescents from the Brasilândia favela, an impoverished area on the outskirts of SãoPaulo, Brazil. This ministry uses musical education with a Christian focus to gain kids' attention and share the gospel—which can transform their life trajectory.

Israel Shalom teaches youth music appreciation classes and beginner to advanced music lessons (instrumental and vocal). Within the community, they perform concerts and shows to highlight young artists. Adolescents are trained to lead worship at local churches and youth detention centers alongside Israel Shalom's ministry partner, JEAME. Additionally, Israel Shalom teaches ballet to girls, culminating in recitals. Israel Shalom uses these concerts and recitals as public opportunities to share the gospel and showcase the hope found in those who know Christ.
